The horse that ran huge was the winner. He reeled that horse in and blew by him.

Come on Bold, good for you to win, but when's the last time you've seen a turf horse blow threw those fractions and still hold on, my god, if Showing Up didn't win there he should hang it up. That was one of the most impressive races on the Turf I have seen in a long time and he was gliding along.

LOL!! HA HA HA HA !!! Tri paid 636 for a buck!!! How many times you have that? You have teh exacta? And I hate to break this to you but no way is Showing Up better than Kip!!! And everyoen knows it!! A yound inexperienced jockey who had teh 14 hole just set the fastest splits in track history for a route race(thats a fact, noone at Clonial had ever broken 1:09 for 6 in a route race) on a rdiciulous lead of 16 lengths and still held 2nd. Good luck next time , you will need it.
WHy don't you bash IEAH some more huh? How many times you have that exacta and tri? LOL!!!!

Showing Up has every right to like the turf (his sire was a stakes winner on it) and he does have a turf stride. He ran a very good race, but he was supposed to reel in Kip after Kip set those incredible fractions; he was a dead tired horse, and understandably so. No knocks on the winner, though - it's just hard to quantify how good that performance was simply because the 2nd place finisher ran out of his mind.

Great buy. Horse will earn close to $2M alone this year. If he wins the bonus, that is $5M.

I can't wait until that next race, good for Kev that he saw it live, he's had some bad luck, but I bet he had a good day seeing that race live. This next race will get alot of talk on here and he'll get to see it in person...

Kev didnt see the race live, he had a B Day party to go to and caught a few races earlier on at OTB. Kev will be better than ever and hopefully make it up to Toga the weekend of the Travers.

Nice score both for Bold Ruler on the crush WPS and Oracle on the tri. Wish I had any part of that!

yeah, he may stay on the turf now.

and Strategic Mission, his sire, may become hot. Chester House passed a couple of years ago. that son of Mr Prospector had an abbreviated stud career after impressing on the turf. So Strategic Mission, a turf star in his own right and son of Mr Prospector, could be filling a big void now.

Showing Up is his only good horse, so I don't see that happening.

SO I guess you didnt have the tri huh? Geez thats a shame!!! How come all the guys who arent as might as you seem to keep cashing IRS tickets and you don't? Keying Go Between to get in the tri appears to have been teh right concept, ah well, what do I know?!! LOL!!!

What the heck happened to the rest of the closers? Rock Lobster should have been flying late. I thought Go Between was the winner on the far turn and maybe Lobster would get 2nd.
