![]() If I were looking to hire a trainer I'd ask, do you train horse A different than B? Not all horses are alike, especially males who usually need more work than females.
What do you feed them? What vitamins and other nutrients are in the feed? How much attention by your staff will the horse get? How many emplyees per horse do you have? How often do you have contact with the horse, especially if the you have horses at more than one track? How thorough do you keep the chart for each horse? What's your theory on medications? Do you train horses to win with work outs, or run horses in races to get them ready to win? Just some thoughts off the top of the cranium. |

![]() what provisions do you make for a horse that has reached the end of his competitive shelf life...and what provisions are in place for injured horses that can no longer compete at all?
what is your position on trainers that patch up a horse that should be retired and drop it into a much lower claiming level hoping to lose it?

![]() How often are you in contact with the owners of your horses?
If it was up to you, would you rather run a horse 6 times a year as most do now or back to a 10-12 race schedule? How do you feel about 3 year old horses being carted off the shed after making black type? |
