Can Reata's Rocket make the move from a Mth to a GP class track. This is what I like to do. Try to spot them before they run, and watch their progress. There will be few surprises by the end of Feb. You know a pro capper hits about 1/3 of their picks a race day, and most shy away from maidens. I like to try the maidens, and have about as good luck with them as most. Some like claimers, some bet only allowance races, others only stakes. A few maiden winners move on to stakes horses, most don't. To have backed that one who does, makes up for all the many who don't. On super bowl day everyone has a 50/50 chance at picking a winner, but how many followed that winner all the way.
