Kitski ran well enough, predictably let down by his jumping once or twice. But I've just been saved by Munaddam, wouldn't normally have backed it from that wide on the course, but to be fair to Hills (and normally I'm not) he gave it a good ride...was panicking a bit as he went for the rail. Horse to follow this season.

I like Another Promise a lot...one of the best jumpers in training. A test of speed at 2m was never going to suit, especially given that they went a steady pace. I wouldn't have though he'd be an Arkle horse, and I'd rather see him in the Jewson - unless the handicapper murders him for beating Rasharrow. I suspect he's a 20/22f horse, and don't imagine he'll see out the SunAlliance (I wasn't really sure whether he fully stayed in the Rehearsal). The Ryanair would be the alternative, but I couldn't see him beating My Way.
Im glad i had a few quid on Kitski for a place. Another Promise is a very good horse. My mate has landed a couple of nice horses, since he has only been there since like October/November time he also looks after that promising staying hurdler Negus De Beaumont. They are adamant that a strongly run 2miles will suit him at Cheltenham, i have been saying the same to him as you told me but he rides it out every morning and is adament. Ive backed him for the Arkle and they sound pretty confident of going for that race and he wont be 100/1 when he lines up, so as long as he stays fit i will have a few bets for nothing when i can lay it off at about 16/1 i would have thought.

Good call with the Dunlop horse, i was with the gamble (had backed it at 7/2 earlier) didn't even see it.

Greetings just hacked up if you didn't see it. You can back the Brazilian horses blind at the carnival every year and make a small fortune because they are always over priced and i don't know why.

That Wipe Yor Eye ran a shocker, it was backed off the boards too.... i had backed that this morning.

Great shout with Greetings. The Brazilians sure do look like they know what they're doing. It's why Dubai is a bit of a minefield when it comes to punting...trying to compare form from different countries on every different continent in the world!

Didn't see Wipe Your Eye, I've got a theory that he and Cross The Hymen are 2 JP has named as double entendres!!

Alan Berry took Wipe you Eye wide for most of it, held him up last on the first circuit, and came there to challenge but was soon under pressure and finished fourth. King Charlamane won hard held about 6lengths!

Have been back home for the last ten days or so and, apart from going to Cheltenham last Saturday (and also a particularly drunken ball at the course after racing) I haven't really been following the racing.

And, no, no more chances for Mind Alert!

Still, couple who leap off the page today.

Southwell:
3:40: Pikaboo 2pts e/w. Stuart Williams is a cheat of the highest order IMO, but I think today could be the day.
Save on Cerebus 2pts win.

4:40: Jojesse: 2pts e/w. Sure to do much better switched to Swinbank and sent handicapping.
