In case you don't remember, I told you that last night too when I congratulated you

Seven weeks ago, maybe. Saturday night, maybe. Last night? Not a chance.

Florida was not losing that game last night no matter what. It was anti-climactic though because it wasn't the game it should have been. (Ps, word is that Ginn hurt his foot on the touchdown CELEBRATION?! What a waste.)

I just wish Florida had to play Boise State now

I apologize for anything I said last night that was inappropriate. Believe me when I say it, I was freaking hammered.

"If Ted Ginn Jr. didn't get hurt OSU would've won 42-41 because he would've had 4 kickoff returns for td's. Boooooo hooooo i'm a big ten homer."

i said from the time the match-ups were announced, that osu, michigan and nd were playing the Fastest teams they played all year.
osu had NOT played a defense with that kind of speed. ted ginn would not have made much difference because smith could not have gotten him the ball.
this also proves how bad the big 10 is. the SEC sent 9of 12 teams to bowls and finished 6-3.

let me add this. 6-6 teams have NO business in bowl games. Bama had NO business in a bowl game.

Congrats gators!
ROLL TIDE !!

Oh no, it was fun -- I was actually surprised at how well you held yourself together discussing the game for as smashed as you were. You weren't even mean to me after I called you to taunt you after the first 16 seconds of the game (god I wish i could take that back )

I dont think that OSU is a fraud at all, they didnt play their best game. Florida with the exception of the opening kick off played really well, but dont think that was a fluke. Give Meyer 30+ days to prepare and he comes up with an outstanding offensive sceme. The defense has been consistent all year no one can argue that, the O has been off and on. The game plan to get the ball to the best playmakers on the team in the gaps of a zone defense without ever going down the field was great coaching. On the other side of the field Tressel goes for that 4th and short(not a good call) ,and the OSU defense never adjusted. Every aspect of that game was dominated by the Gators, very deserving

Okay first things first...congrats cajun!!! How's the hangover?

There are a couple of topics in this thread that caught my attention.

First, while I agree that LSU could seriously be considered 1A in the rankings, I think that Boise State didn't get enough credit. Could they beat either Florida or LSU? probably not. But they did go undefeated and won a BCS game. A game that just may go down as the greatest bowl game ever played.

The next thing was the mention of Florida's speed. I think that is what beat Ohio State and would beat them everytime. The big ten teams simply don't play the type of game that can keep up with the speed teams like in the SEC or PAC 10.

I don't think there will ever be a playoff nor do I think it's necessary in order to pick the #1 team. This is really the first year since the BCS came about that there was even an argument after the conference champions were decided as to who should be playing. After all the games this year, if there was going to be an add one game, who would it be? I think the only two teams that could make an argument are Florida and Boise State. Don't get me wrong, I love LSU, but they don't deserve it.

Once again congrats to the Gator! Cajun that is

A playoff is necessary. If UCLA does not upset SCal (probably a 1 in 10 shot), Florida gets no shot this year. In 2004, Auburn went 13-0 (damn tough to do in the SEC as everyone should realize by now) and never had a chance to play for number 1, and that was a team with 5 first round draft picks to the NFL. Same applied to Utah that year if I recall correctly. There are probably legitimate beefs more years than not.
