![]() Hard to know how much real money gambling might be going on with our players as nobody talks about it much, but I imagine there is some. Likely not gambling the same amounts. I do sometimes on big days, but usually substantially smaller amounts in between those big days. I think most of us enjoy the intellectual part of racing and hopefully that helps to keep the dementia wolf away from our doors. It's like the old saying "use it or lose it." I don't know about anyone else, but it seems like there are few things that can sharpen the focus like gambling. Winning or losing, you are thinking of little else when you are engaged in it, but as some famous person once said, "moderation in all things."
