I'm still in shock over the turnaround in Fierceness' performance. I watched the Champagne several times and decided he was a throwout in the Juvie (especially at a ML of 6-1), not because of his poor start, but because of the way that he wilted in the stretch. I am in awe of the training job that Todd Pletcher did to have confidence in his horse and persevere to the BC rather than concentrate on his other two runners and just give Fierceness a break. Kudos to anyone who had the fortitude to back him yesterday. I didn't and it cost me.
