I've been on in Prince Edward Island all week. Today I went to Red Shores Race Track in Charlottetown for the harness card. Great little track on Hillsborough Bay ran 14 races today - I stayed for 7. Lots to like but the best thing may be that they have an 8 minute countdown after the last race is official and they go off on time! Also, the announcer was great. I never heard of the guy but he was terrific. There is a casino attached and they have a simulcast room but I didn't want my girlfriend wondering why I asked her to come with me.

NJ, it sounds as if you enjoyed your vacation on PEI. Years ago, when our children were younger we rented a home on the South Shore not too far from the ferry landing from New Brunswick (this was before the bridge to NB was built) and had a thoroughly relaxing and enjoyable week. One of my fondest vacation photos was taken in the small village of Victoria where our youngest, also named Victoria, was posing next to the lobster pound with the lobsters we had just purchased for our feast, with the town name prominently displayed in the background.

Talk about amazing, JolyB! We are staying in Charlottetown (tonight's our last night) but last night we went to Victoria and ate on the water at a restaurant called Casa Mia By The Sea.
