He must be flush with cash after his big win at Monmouth. Probably burying some of his ill gotten gain in a Maxwell House coffee can sealed with some duck tape around the top. Might be a good thing for all of us to do. I've been reading the prognostications for the stock market on the internet. Half of the experts say the markets about to go down like a Zeppelin and the other half says sell your wife and kids and the dog and cat and put it all in the market. Personally, I think Mr. Greenspan said it best. It looks like a bunch of irrational exuberance to me.

Always loved that phrase from the former Fed Chairman. As I recall, on the day he said that, the Dow dropped several hundred points.

We've probably both known more than a few horseplayers who have shown irrational exuberance about a "steam" horse who went off at 1-5. And in the immortal words of Harvey Pack, "...hardly a man is now alive who paid the mortgage at 1-5."

Yep, that saying by Mr. Greenspan was one that would stick with you for awhile. Love little sayings like that. What goes around comes around another and just about anything that Yogi Berra ever uttered.
