Yes, but Red Knight ran a superb race, patiently handled by Irad and when the time came to run, he clearly outkicked the heavily favored Warren Point.

Channel Maker didn't run a bad race; he was part of a blanket finish for the place spot, but was buried down by the rail and came out on the wrong end of the 5 horse photo.

I think that is Red's first Grade 1 victory. Pretty good for a 9 year old. Gives hope for the rest of us old guys.
