As we pointed out before the Arkansas Derby, Secret Oath reminds us of
Eight Belles, who also suddenly got better over the winter at Oaklawn, and
stayed at that level. But where Eight Belles was overraced, Secret Oath has
had two fewer starts coming into Louisville, and has an old-fashioned 3yo
pattern for an old-fashioned trainer—a pair of tops followed by an off race.
With five weeks rest we expect her to get right back to her top, which makes
her a very strong contender.
Note that this filly is out of a mare that ran big numbers, but not until she
was older, and her previous foals did nothing at two. If she stays sound
Secret Oath could be something special.

Be sure to add what's wrong with HIM as a human being too.

Since that's the way you wanna be's handicap horses AND LIFE!
Didn't Jerry Brown buy Twitter? Vic, she was one of the 4 most likely winners, a ten-year-old looking at the form for 2 months would have realized she was as least as likely as any filly to win. Ultimately you are splitting hairs when handicapping a race like that. Nobody in their right mind thought she was an X. I liked Kathleen the best I thought she was most likely. You are making a filly that has never run an above par G1 figure a killer she isn't. Let it go leave the great talk for Rachel who would have beat her by a pole. I actually think given the dynamics of the race Echo Zulu ran as well as Secret Oath. We don't know if EZ needs one turn to blossom or just may need more seasoning as she obviously started late. That said would you be surprised if any of the other 3 fillies won the division? Sure S.O. is the leader right now but we are just getting started.

Freddy, the very concept of becoming generational means it takes a while to achieve.

All I've ever said is I "think" she has a chance to develop into that.

Jerry compared her to EIGHT BELLES "before" yesterdays race. In fact he did it even before the Arkansas Derby.

I said what I said after an allowance race at Oaklawn.

Last time I made that kind of prediction it was about a horse named ZENYATTA in her 2nd career start.

SECRET OATH'S win yesterday was certainly impressive. Is she "generational" yet. No of course not.

Can she become that? I think so, but I respect what others on here have to say and would like to hear your opinions as well.

I think she is fine and used her defensively, I thoroughly enjoyed watching her win, I think any of the top 4 fillies could go on to be extremely good. I wouldn't wager she will ever run a 105+ figure. I actually hope I am wrong but I really do not think she is anything but a good G1 type. I can think of a dozen fillies at this stage in their career that I knew were faster and more talented than she is.

Me too; does that mean my anonymous opinion count? Or do I need to get a hot walking job first?

I would have done the same thing.

Never know.

You guys have my word of honor.

I won't let the trolls get to me anymore.

I'll participate in talking about our great sport.

Or I'll abstain.

I'm guilty of the dysfunction too.

Sorry.

You're like a Used Car Salesman. Nobody here is buying it.

We know a troll when we see one.

So what do you think about running the filly in the Preakness?
