Agree Cal, people who were born and grew up south of the mason-dixon line are not good handling snow, sleet or ice. My wife and I grew up in upstate NY so we still have vivid memories of long, brutal winters and snow accumulations of 3-4 ft. The cities, counties and states are prepared for up there but not so much down here since it happens rarely. And the crazy Texans and southerners go out and do exactly what you're not supposed to do . . . walk to fast on ice and fall, drive to fast, slam on their brakes when driving, get in accidents and so on and so on.
It'll all be gone in a couple of days here, but those same crazy people will still be here and likely do other crazy stuff.
