Hip No. 405, colt by City of Light – Inventive, by Dixie Union. Consigned by Baccari Bloodstock, agent.

City of Light’s first crop has been extremely well received. This colt is a half-brother to Grade 1 winner Klimt, by City of Light’s own sire, Quality Road.

Hip No. 432, Qualified, colt by Quality Road – Lil Indy, by Anasheed. Consigned by Lane’s End, agent.

This is a half-brother to Eclipse champion Maximum Security.

Hip No. 446, filly by Uncle Mo – Martha’s Moon, by Malibu Moon. Consigned by Gainesway, agent.

Stakes winner Martha’s Moon is a granddaughter of Kentucky Oaks winner and Broodmare of the Year Blush With Pride, also the dam of Broodmare of the Year Better Than Honour.

Hip No. 486, colt by Kantharos – Peggy Jane, by Kafwain. Consigned by Summerfield Sales, agent for Stonestreet.

This is a half-brother to Eclipse Award champion Gamine.

Hip No. 507, colt by Gun Runner – Red House, by Tapit. Consigned by Gainesway, agent.

This colt is a full brother to a winner from leading freshman sire Gun Runner’s first crop. Red House is a full sister to champion Untapable, as well as a half-sister to Grade 1 winner Paddy O’Prado. Another Gun Runner colt out of a full sister to Untapable is cataloged later in this book, as Hip No. 574.

Hip No. 518, colt by Gun Runner – Sacre Coeur, by Saint Ballado. Consigned by Runnymede Farm, agent.

This is a half-brother to the Eclipse Award champion Lady Eli.

Hip No. 545, filly by Twirling Candy – Solerina, by Powerscourt. Consigned by Taylor Made Sales, agent.

This is a full brother to Grade 1 winner Concrete Rose, who topped last fall’s Keeneland November sale. Twirling Candy is a newly minted classic sire in 2021, thanks to Rombauer.

Hip No. 563, colt by Medaglia d’Oro – Sweet Assassin, by Tapit. Consigned by Lane’s End, agent.

This colt’s dam, from a commercially popular family, is a full sister to Cupid and a half-sister to graded stakes winners Ashley’s Kitty and Heart Ashley, as well as stakes winner Indianapolis.

Hip No. 579, filly by Union Rags – Trensa, by Giant’s Causeway. Consigned by Gainesway, agent.

This is a full sister to Grade 1 winner Free Drop Billy, as well as a half-sister to Group 1 winner Hawkbill.

Hip No. 597, filly by Uncle Mo – Wine Princess, by Ghostzapper. Consigned by Denali Stud, agent.

Hall of Famer Azeri produced just two daughters in the United States before being exported to Japan – Grade 2 winner Wine Princess, now the dam of three winners from as many starters, among them. Azeri’s graded stakes-placed daughter Arienza is represented by Hip No. 261, a Justify colt, in Book 1.

Hip No. 598, filly by Quality Road – Winter Memories, by El Prado. Coinsigned by Darby Dan Farm, agent.

Multiple Grade 1 winner Winter Memories is, in turn, out of multiple Grade 1 winner Memories of Silver, from one of Darby Dan’s foundation families.

Hip No. 622, colt by Flatter – Azara, by More Than Ready. Consigned by Denali Stud, agent for Bridlewood Farm.

Azara, dam of two winners, is a half-sister to champion Tepin and to graded stakes winner Vyjack.

Hip No. 648, colt by Into Mischief – Cathryn Sophia, by Street Boss. Consigned by Denali Stud, agent.

Cathryn Sophia won the Kentucky Oaks and two other graded stakes.

Hip No. 649, colt by Curlin – Cavorting, by Bernardini. Consigned by Eaton Sales, agent for Stonestreet.

Multiple Grade 1 winner Cavorting’s first foal is Grade 2 winner Clairiere, also by Curlin.

Hip No. 702, colt by Justify – Flaming Heart, by Touch Gold. Consigned by Taylor Made Sales, agent for WinStar Farm.

Grade 3-placed stakes winner Flaming Heart is the dam of Grade 2 winner Commissioner, runner-up in the Belmont Stakes; Grade 3 winner Laugh Track, runner-up in the Breeders’ Cup Sprint; and of Mythical Bride, dam of Breeders’ Cup Classic winner and champion Vino Rosso.

This is a half-sister to Canadian champions and graded stakes winners Biofuel and Tu Endie Wei, as well as to stakes winner Indian Pride.

Hip No. 849, colt by West Coast – Promenade Girl, by Carson City. Consigned by Trackside Farm, agent.

From the first crop of a champion, this is a half-brother, bred on the same cross, to multiple Grade 1 winner Cavorting.

Hip No. 870, filly by Speightstown – Samantha Nicole, by Medaglia d’Oro. Consigned by Warrendale Sales, agent for Stonestreet.

Samantha Nicole is a full sister to Hall of Fame racemare and Grade 1 producer Rachel Alexandra.

Kentucky Oaks winner Believe You Can is the dam of Grade 3-placed stakes winner Believe In Royalty. This is the first crop for Grade 1 winner Collected.

Hip No. 993, colt by Gun Runner – Caressing, by Honour and Glory. Consigned by Hermitage Farm, agent.

Champion Caressing is the dam of champion West Coast, as well as two other stakes-placed runners and the multiple group stakes producer My Goodness.

Hip No. 1028, filly by Medaglia d’Oro – Dayatthespa, by City Zip. Consigned by Indian Creek, agent for Stonestreet.

Dayatthespa was an Eclipse Award champion turf runner.

Hip No. 1030, colt by Bolt d’Oro – Defy Gravity, by Bandini. Consigned by Paramount Sales, agent.

Bolt d’Oro recorded a rare seven-figure sale by a first-crop sire at Saratoga. Stakes winner Defy Gravity is the dam of three winners from as many starters, including stakes winner Green Destiny. This is the family of Kentucky Derby winner Super Saver, as well as Grade 1 winners including Callback, Bluegrass Cat, and Girolamo in recent generations.
