Exclamation Gulfstream - KO in N.Y!

Tried to wager on Gulfstream opening day card thru Capital OTB and could not as of noon 1/3.
I guess there is some dispute between them and our friends with the state of N.Y.
I guess things are NO different with the "Starts day 1" guy in charge...

NY OTB's are locked in negotiation with GP horsemen over the price of the signal.

Capital OTB will send you free Gulf PP's though. I guess after you read them you can line the bird cage.

As long as we get a signal from beautiful Philadelphia Park. Nice day there, the vultures are out in full force. What a place.

I just walked past the Capital in Albany and Mayor Bloomberg was on the street. You think he came up to talk to Elliott about the Gulf signal??

You ever see Anthony Mormino down there walking around? Hes a sharp guy who does the best OTB commentary of anyone by a mile. He could easily work for TVG.

Nice guy too. We rapped one day over an ice cream cone. Man loves his ice cream (just like me). But unlike me, he can pick winners and lots of em. Best I've ever seen.

I've never seen him in Albany but I have seen him in the clubhouse at Saratoga. I like his commentary also, he doesn't always pick the obvious. Sharp dresser also.

I like the man's style. He is like a fish out of water on the OTB network. I know he only does it on the side for fun, but man, he could go places in this business. As sharp as any of those clowns on TVG. Hes got a personality that would be great for TV.
He likes the vanilla soft serve with rainbow sprinkles at the track.

If I'm not mistaken the large vanilla soft serve with rainbow sprinkles goes for $23.75, right?

As far as track food goes, its good eats! $23 aint bad considering I lose about 6 hundred a day there.

If you want to feel like your in heaven, go to a Cold Stone Creamery and order up a "Cake and Shake" milkshake. Its the best $4.27 you will ever spend. Get the large sizze, believe me, the small just will make you order another.

They got 2.5% last year they want 2.85% this year. Interesting though you can bet Laurel which is a Magna track.

Laurel and Gulfstream... not very much of a difference in quality, at least any day but Saturday.

Gulfstream use to be the premier winter meet but in the last few years notice all their very good racing seems to be packed into 1 day a week- Saturdays. Saturdays are blockbusters but the other 5 days have grown pretty bad.

I dont know about you guys, but I sure like Sundays for horse racing.

NY does it right.

The issue is with the FLA Horsemen's Assn, not Magna. It's the horsemen making the demand for the increase.

It's just OTB. NYRA is taking Gulfstream. I played all day.
