LAUREL, MD – There were 47 winning tickets in Friday’s Stronach 5, each worth $10,902.10. The day began with a $107,353.23 carryover into Friday’s Stronach 5, which featured races from Santa Anita Park, Gulfstream Park, Golden Gate Fields and Laurel Park. The Laurel races bookended Friday’s Stronach 5 and also produced the largest payoffs. The sequence started with the unraced 3-year-old filly Can the Queen ($9.60) winning Laurel’s eighth race and ended with Smokin Caraquena ($26.60) winning the last leg and Laurel’s 10th race.
