I could have avoided 5 days on life support. It took them that long to find something that stopped the first one. I was in status epilepticus 5 days. That means I couldn't breathe, had no heart beat, nothing. They were about to pull the plug when I woke up.
Sounds pretty scary. I don't use marijuana, but I wouldn't have the first qualm about it, if I needed it for some medical issue. I am a little taken aback that my state being in the bible belt and having a definite conservative, red state bent has been so accepting of it, but I guess that is the national trend and eventually all things make it to even the backwaters of America.

This thread is starting to smell up the JOINT. When I was going to Clemson, there was big old house in good shape, three levels, that was rented out college students. Friday and Saturday nights in the very compact college town you could see a cloud smoke behind a retail and pizza joints hovering over the big southern oaks surrounding the big old house. It glimmered off an on from the street lights as the wind blew the tree limbs around and if you got too close for too long you started to write Beatle music and the longer you hung around the better each song you wrote sounded.

But hey man that was during early 70's just after Woodstock and all the hippie movement. It certainly wasn't legal but nobody complained and nobody did anything to stop it. Patty and I lived a good distance away but every once in awhile we find an excuse to visit a classmate in the big old house on a Friday or Saturday night. :
