Cal, you've got me scratching my head over that one. The only Lukas Belmont winner that might fit your description is Commendable (2000), who was an absolute outsider in the Belmont. I sort of remember that Commendable had won one race as a 2 year old.

That's the one. I think he had only won a maiden race. Race was full of plodders and Lukas was smart enough to recognize it and put Commendable, who was a front runner type in the race and won it with Pat Day riding.

I can't remember to get a loaf of bread in the morning but you guys remember horses that ran 18 years ago. No wonder I'm at a disadvantage (although I remember my first big score on Pass Catcher).
