Hey Monopoly Joe obviously you missed the point and were watching a different race, if you say that horse won fairly easily. Being a contraian on everything is what you do best. But to your point in this 1 in MANY cases of what I feel is collusive riding which is .

1. Jose- why go to the right hand when you see horses drifting?
2. irad - why go to the left hand when your horse is tired and drifting?

The optics on these guys IMO are bad. Do you feel they ride on the square and do not help each other out by using tactics such as what I noted or by burning up their mounts while the other roll by late? Oh and as an aside I had both Ortiz horses on my tickets and not the horse that was affected by the tag team effort.

They have had a hand slap, so all is OK now.
Their riding "skills" can go back to being ignored.
Nothing to see here, the stewards are on top of it all.

There was a race on Saturday that caught my eye I forget which one (I'll see if I can find it). Both brothers were on what looked to be closers in a fast paced race. The longer shot (yes I bet it so may be some bias) decided to push the pace even harder and of course brother came waltzing home as everyone stopped.

They are not cheating, but they are brothers that love each other. The optics are bad. The answer is they race on separate circuits, which brother should sacrifice and why? They both have access to the best barns at NYRA/GP and are top-flight jocks. Why should either have to move to Ca. and be away from their family? It's a difficult situation

Agree with this it is a tough situation. What is cheating? Is burning up your mount when not riding for Chad so your brother on the Chad rolls by late cheating? Is not finishing the race on your Chad while your brother wins on the longer priced Chad cheating? At the absolute VERY LEAST they need to be coupled when riding for Chad (or same trainer) WE do agree the OPTICS ARE BAD. Maybe we do nothing and wait for the computer savy person to put together the case that statistically suggests collusion and we wake up to a New York Times article suggesting the same and suffer another punch in the nose as a sport.

I would love to know how Steve, Andy, Joey and Rollo feel about this. This feels like a lot of nonsense and sour grapes 2 me.
