Saratoga can be a tough place to handicap for our points contest on days when it has rained overnight. Today races 1 and 2 are off of the turf and the different distances have to be taken into account (I often forget to do that, as I did yesterday when they were taken off in the middle of the card). Races 6 and 11 are both still on the turf, but at noon the MTO's for both of those races haven't been scratched - perhaps the trainers are waiting and hoping. I just hope for the sake of the pick 6 players that the status of the MTO's are clarified when Pick 6 tickets are sold.

But, it's still the Spa, the races are superb, and I usually can't handicap my hat size. But here goes:
