Plenilune wins this week by a whisker. JolyB is a strong second. ryonker1 is solid third. DonGuido nicely rounds out the super.

1 Plenilune ACB 30 156
2 JolyB CBA 20 155
3 ryonker1 AXB 12 130
4 DonGuido CBA 20 126

A bit disappointing that two of the stakes races at SA were such small fields. Seems the CA circuit is kind of struggling (even today's Las Virgenes was reduced to four!). But wow, that Flavian Prat, what a huge day he had! His skill at placing and timing is amazing.

Very nicely played Plenilune! We ran neck and neck most of the way, but you certainly had the better analysis of the Holy Bull. My selection of Classic Empire on top in not only this but elsewhere proved costly; I wanted to take everything back when I saw just how washed out he looked in the post parade, but by then it was too late. Don't think that we will see him running at Gulfstream Park during the rest of the Derby preps.

I have a feeling that many people's Derby short lists have been thrown into a tizzy after last Saturday's preps.

No matter what or who, it stings to lose by a nose whisker here or anywhere and we've all been there. Nice job Plen for extending that nose hair. JB is just warming up . . . beware of the Professor!!!

"Short List" . . . I don't even have a "Long List" yet!
