We have gun violence, but get told we just need to use the laws already in place to handle that.
We have had no issues that showed a need for the trans law in nc. But that law is needed because something that has never, ever happened, needed to be guarded against?

Trans people have far more to fear from straight folks than the other way around. When you look at hate crime stats, race motivation is the top reason, followed by people attacked for their sexuality.
The nc law was motivated because of charlottes moves regarding discrimination. There was no legal reason for it, no criminal activity to warrant it. The gop lost on the ssm battle, so they went after another group of 'those people'. Gotta be superior to somebody i guess.
