Similiar thing happened at Gulfstream in the 1st. It was raining so hard that when the horses were on the backstretch and at the top of the stretch that Larry Colmus stated he had to call the race using the chicklets. However, the race started with a light rain and then the bottom dropped out...seriously affected the outcome of the race no doubt.
