Heart attack I suppose? Seeing Coolmore tweet he was being led in from the paddock and just collapsed. Horrid shame.

oh no!! hell, they just had an article about losing harlan's holiday (like his sire, harlan, before him who died prematurely) and now scat daddy...what a loss, as he'd shown himself to be a good, promising sire.
that's awful. "A RECORD-BREAKING SIRE IN 2015. 9 SW's inc. 6 GSW's in his 2yo crop breaking the records set by STORM CAT in 2002." and here was the write up they just had done on SD in last months bloodhorse. http://www.bloodhorse.com/horse-raci...sis-scat-daddy it's a huge loss, because he was showing himself to be quite a sire.

My sympathies to the connections.
He was a very nice horse and on his way to being a world class sire. He will be missed.

Sad news indeed.
Look for Coolmore to ramp up promotions on Scat Daddy's No Nay Never. They are rather bullish on him based on a conversation I had with one of their reps at the Arqana sale in October in Deauville. O
