This seems like a pattern for Gulfstream and is not by accident. They also choose to take races off the turf AFTER the 1st leg of jackpot pick 6 is run.

This was the case yesterday as well (in the pick 6), but to their defense they truly had no choice as the races had to come off the turf with the amount of rain that came. At the start of the pick 6 it was sunny so no reason to take the races off the turf at the time / after the 1st race of the sequence. My issue (similar to your concern with the pick 6) was that they took the races off the turf after the 1st leg of the pk4 completely knowing that they had no intention of running the race on the surface it was originally supposed to be run at. That, IMO is inexcusable.
