My favorite was Izvestia, it's sad they he broke down and couldn't
be saved. One my favorite grays of all time

He was the horse Randy Romero rode in the BC Classic after he broke his shoulder when Go For Wand broke down.

He was a very good horse.

Thanks BTW, Dance Smartly was also a Canadian Triple Crown winner
and also nice horse here in the States. Who was lastest Canadian Triple
Crown winner was it Peteski.

I don't know.

Afleet was the best Canadian horse I ever saw. He was a victim of Gary Stahlbaum otherwise he would have had quite a resume. Stahlbaum cost him both the Met Mile and the BC Sprint.

BTW, Afleet sired to of my favorite fillies Twist Afleet and
Flat Fleet Feet and a nice sprinter Tim Ritchey had Cat Be Nimble.
Is he still at stud in Japan?

Wherever he is I am sure he is glad to be away from Gary Stahlbaum.

I can't decide which ride I liked better...the Met, where he smacked Afleet in the head with the whip, causing him to prop, and lose a photo to Gulch, or the BC Sprint, where somehow the brilliant Stahlbaum had him LAST at the top of the stretch, only to finish third beaten a couple lengths.

Phil Teator would have won those races.

Thunder Puddles is at Highcliff in Delanson. Rumble stood in VA for a while then was returned to NY.
