Clubhouse also gives you a better view of the Paddock.

If you want a view, you may have to be prepared to find a place to stand over an hour before the big race. Otherwise, find a spot in front of a TV screen closer to the start of the race; they're everywhere, and don't stress it. If AP pulls it off, just being in the energy of the crowd will be a once-in-a-lifetime thing.

I agree about putting wagers in early; the lines are CRAZY close to the race.

I know that the one thing you will never forget is the sound. You can always view it again on TV, but you'll never experience anything like the sound.

that is why we go there.

You are SO right! I was at Santa Anita when Zenyatta won the Classic, but I didn't see it live. I was sitting at Sirona's (grandstand floor) and watching on TV. There aren't words to describe "the sound". If I didn't know better, I would have thought that the entire Santa Anita grandstand was coming down! The whole place just seemed to shake!

Absolutely...if you're not in a place to be able to see the finish, then lose yourself in the sound.....wherever you are. There's nothing like it.
