Would someone explain how Tale of Verve only got a 72 Beyer for his last race which makes him look like he shouldn't even be allowed in the starting gate. His BRIS rating was 95 which is comparable to the Derby Bris rating of AP(100)Dortmund (96)etc. I think Beyer needs to take a closer look at that rating.

We have seen this before. AP was clearly most likely to win the Preakness, the Belmont is a very different animal.

Monday morning quarterbacking. Look at the charts for Keenland that day. The only route race on the dirt was Verves race. It took over 2:00 to run 1 3/16 miles against maidens. I would question the bris rating. This was the suck-up of suck-ups. Anyway, if Bris rated him so well, I would have bet the 60-1 exacta.
