The fact that you refer to Buffy as a "chic show" says more about your lack of intelligence than I have or will! Like the show or dislike the show...I couldn't care less and it's your right...different people like different things! But you obviously know nothing about the show or the depth of same...

I don't care to know about the show because it's for teeny boppers, goths, and middle-aged social workers.

And attractive 30-something female writers, actors and casting directors. Not to mention their boyfriends/husbands. I think the show was one of the best things on television ever, as do several of my friends.

Some are not as highly intellectual as us Genuine.

You have no brains. My father loved this show and he is not a teeny bopper, goth or a middle-aged social worker. He is a financial analyst for a HUGE company. Think before you speak dude before you offend people. You started the meanness, NOW BE NICE!

I wasn't going to respond again to this ignorant fool but what the heck...GR and Buffy, don't engage him unless you're simply bored and do it to entertain yourselves, he's a total waste intellectually and certainly not worth the effort. His true colors were exposed some time ago during other exchanges we've had...I admit it, like a cat I sometimes enjoy playing with mental "mice" but I try and avoid the game anymore. This guy says he created a Myspace page just to poke fun at people there...I checked it out and it looks like something a kindergarten dropout would design....but in his simple mind, I guess he thinks he's "cool"! I've often said that there is nothing wrong with arrogance until you combine it with stupidity...well, here's an example of that sad combo! He exposes himself when he admits "I don't care to know about the show" and then continues by stating that the show is "for" certain folks that he groups together as if they were homogeneous groups...this is a guy who has some issues, he has a need to ridicule others to make himself feel adequate. I gave him a link to Slayage so he could see the widespread following the show maintains in academia but then I guess all those big words and complex concepts were a problem....! Anyway, he'll come back with some "witty" (sic) response no doubt but I'm done engaging him. The only reason I responded to his bait this time was I really had no idea what he was saying in his initial inane response.

I really am just pissy today. My best friend and I are emailing each other back and forth about the comic book. We hope Angel ends up in it somewhere....

Buffymommy,
Angel and Spike will both appear according to the interview with Joss that I linked to! Spike probably will play a bigger role in the season's arc however! Joss explained that all characters from Angel are "owned" by another comic book company so they are in negotiations right now...he expects there to be no problem however!

Ah, springtime... and GenuineRisk's thoughts turn lightly to thoughts of Spike...

March cannot come too soon.

PillowPants, why not just Netflix the show and then you can make fun of it in specifics? Though I think you might actually like it. I'd suggest starting with Season 2, which was fantastic. Somer could fill you in on what you need to know from Season 1.

(Somer, I know the show is perfect in your eyes, but much as I do like Season One, I think it needed a little while to fully hit its stride).

You sure are confident. How about we settle this with a handicapping competition? Since you're so brilliant you should beat me easily.

Edit: I PM'ed somerfrost and extended the challenge. Loser leaves the board. I refuse to have some half-a-quack front like he's the second coming of Freud.

Jesustapdancingchrist you're dense.

I do enjoy Boston Legal...

Seriously though, Buffy was ahead of its time. My parents are the ones who told me to watch it. If you can't see what a great show that it was, then it is you who is dense. Even if a person didn't LOVE the show, they would give the show props for what it was at the time "NEW & Different".

How in the hell can a show that's based on a movie be "new?"

Sorry I am being mean today. I am in a bad mood. Heading to my husband's grandmother's funeral in about an hour. I am not in a very good mood.
