![]() You must remember the great claiming trainer from the mid 80's - Oscar Barrera. When I starting playing in 1986, he was "the man". If Oscar claimed a horse, it would be a "mortal lock" next time out. He trained a critter named WICKED WIKE back in 1990. This ol' boy raced 120 times at age 8 with just 9 wins, but 30 second place finishes. Back then it seemed that horses ran more often and later in age, especially the cheaper claimers. Won a lot of money with the OSB "hot pink & black" silks!
