I thought this call was close but correct. I thought the call on the Pletcher 2nd time in this country turf horse yesterday was the really shitty call. Here is something from the Crist blog...
4:48 pm: Rank outsider 58-1 Coordinate outfinished 2-1 favorite Alexahente but properly did not survive a stewards' inquiry and a claim of foul and the order of finish was reversed. Coordinate clearly veered in and forced Alexahente to be taken up in deep stretch. Coordinate, a Darley homebred by Hard Spun who was trounced in two dirt sprints at 49-1 and 46-1, went right to the front and forgot to stop. Alexahente, an Eddie Kenneally second-timer, was gaining at the rail when Coordinate cme over and cost him all momentum. Durkin picked up on it right away as they crossed the finish line: "Coordinate is the winner -- well, at least under the wire first."
