Sorry, but money or no money, Pletcher had a "Bobby Frankel type" day. You can't go 0-17, have one of your horses be hurt and think that is a good day.
Pletcher can't win on the big days, it is that simple. The guy is 0-51 in triple crown races and something like 2 for 40 in the Breeders Cup. That is a total of 2 wins in something like 91 starts on the two big days.
