I think this race is the perfect example of what is just a prep and whats not. When does a trainer really have a horse ready to win, and when are they happy with just a good run. The board said the 2,6 were both dead early on in the betting. Its hard not to imagine both trainers not being very happy with the efforts those 2 put in today, with them both running into a soft pace. I would not be surprised to see both in stakes races very soon, and I think they are both likely stakes winners on the turf this year.
As for the 2, I watched it again. Its like a bad trip with a perfect trip to go with it. He moved early for sure, but JV gave him a perfect rail run. If the 6 gets that run he likely wins.
