Do jockeys matter?

they matter in a close race but if you are betting to win because of the jockey........well, good luck staying ahead doing that. the horse is about 95% of the deal...if somethings wrong, goes wrong or the horse is just plain slower....Christ could not get them home.....its also hilarious reading the comments by people weighing 200 pounds saying they could do better......its like hitting a baseball if you are anywhere near 20 % you are a star. some folks here make it SOUND so easy.
