Default Bel/kee/med: 10/13

Struggles continued Thursday at Belmont with a poor day lowlighted by a maddening miss in the 6th where we ran 1-3-4-5 including Longshot Alert candidate Notadroptodrink third at 31-1. Prince Raffie (11-1) stayed on behind logical 1-1 Raceland with D Money fourth to kick out a $448 triple and $1,581 super, and this was the race that needed to be hit to make the day a winner...

Plenty of opportunity to make back the losses of the last couple of days with Friday a bellweather towards a mammouth Saturday. Besides Belmont's usual fare, Keeneland runs the Gr. III Perryville with a great group of 12, and the Meadowlands features their $500,000 Cup and $60,000 John Henry. Saturday offers the Jamaica, Frizette and Champagne at Big Sandy; TCA, First Lady and Queen Elizabeth at Keeneland; Oak Tree Derby at Santa Anita and multiple stakes days at Calder, Laurel, Great Lakes and Canterbury.
