What are you going to do with the mare? Breed commercially or keep the foal to race? If you are breeding commercially I would not let polytrack affect your decision making process. However if you are going to race the foal/foals, depending on the curcuit, polytrack may be a factor.

Unless the mare you purchase has top flight pedigree the Coolmore/Arab feud probably wont affect you greatly. Maybe you wont be a player in the 7 figure range but the market is still very strong in the $100000 to $500000 range.

I guess that with a small operation all the factors that you talked about wont be nearly as important as it would be if you were buying 20 mares and were trying to position yourself for the future. My advise would be to find the best mare you can find in your price range and forget about all the other things.
