Working immediately after the renovation break over a “fast” track, Friesan Fire reeled off fractions of :11.20, :22.20, :33.60, :45.20 and galloped out six furlongs in 1:14.

Sheesh ... he galloped out his final furlong in 16.20 seconds? ... the worst trotters around can do that pulling a buggy. I imagine going that slow in a gallop-out isn't uncommon .. but after tearing it up for 5f you'd think momentum would help you through the next one.

With the "gallop out" - his 6f time of 1:14 flat would have translated to a 48 Beyer.
