This is a case of them replacing a goalie that has been playing below his usual level. With an very (actually 2) capeable backups on the roster, they feel like this is the time for a switch. But reguardless anything less than a gold medal performance will be second guessed. (should they have stayed with Marty? or Why didn't they put Luongo in).

NJ aint winning no 2-1 games this year, Marty's GAA is up, he's been shaky ever since game 7 last year, his puckhandling skills got him into trouble last game and i think its the right move if canada wants to continue playing in this tourney. HOF or the greatest goalie of all time, a change in net need to be made IMO

as far as the caps go, Dale Hunter was my all time favorite cap. and goalies, who can forget jim carey, bill ranford, hated pete peeters, mike liut, but i think my favorite was Don Beaupre. some of the all time cap greats, gartner, ridley, miller, bonzi, stevens, pivonko, gustafsson, galley, as you can see i'm a huge caps fan
