Worldly ran a very good second to Stay Put from the Margolis barn. Wow Wow Wow checked in fifth after being wide all the way around; he made a strong 3 wide move on the far turn and was still in the fight in midstretch, but tired late. Walking the Beach was close up between horses down the backstretch, and had no response on the far turn. Third choice Hotep, from the Frostad stable, ran a decent fourth; he is a full brother to Queen's Plate winner Eye of the Leopard.
Time was tick faster than Quiet Temper's time in winning the 4th. Margolis's What's New won his debut earlier on the card; Tiz Brian was unplaced in his first start since a debut second at Saratoga for Stonestreet.
