I think it's quite clear how I feel about NYRA.
I don't see the time off as an issue whatsoever. It gives the employees some time during a hectic year, gives the jockeys/trainers some time as well and allows you five fewer days to worry about nasty weather and poor conditions. I don't see any issue in them taking the time off and have always been of a mind that they could afford to take a week off before Saratoga.
