Default Arlington Park

Arlington Park, Thursday, 16th, 2009

1 - #1 Leaping Lilly
With the lack of late speed in this 1 1/8 Mile opener, I give the nod to the rail horse.

2 - #6 Vocabulary
He will have to run down the favorite coming for home. Front runners are 22% at this distance.

3 - #4 Frosty Melody
Longest shot on the morning line, but I think this one could have the lead turning for home. The question is stamina.

4 - #5 King Negwer
Another one I think could benefit from the pace scenario at long odds. There aren't a lot of tough one's to beat in here. Needs to move off the pace to get the favorite #1 Dr Don

5 - #6 Singing Rose
A lot of speed up front in this race. I think the #6 will have to sit off and use some tactical speed to get home in front.

6 - #3 Hazards of Love
Tough two year old race. I went with this one because he's inside the rest of the speed. Should be in the right spot to win this one according to my good friend at Arlington.

7 - #1 Logan's Prize
I couldn't really get a good grasp on who to go with in this race. I think there will be a soft favorite in the 6 and I am not sure if he can get home in front. The #1 has the class in the race.

8 - #12 Palace Episode
I think F. Jara has been riding pretty well of late. Especially on turf and I think he can get this one home at a nice price for McKeever. I'm curious to see where he goes from the 8-1 morning line.

9 - #7 Hammer Jammer
I think you could narrow this down to between the #3 and #7. I expect the #7 to be well bet off the 5-1 morning line. He should be close to favorite odds in this one. Front runners are 2/4 at this distance this week, maybe something has changed (22% for the meet). I gave the nod to 7
