Dell's point was that criticizing his religion was the only one it's P.C. to criticize. If that's true(highly questionable,) my point is that it's mainly because the members of that religion often agree with the criticisms of it. The two examples you gave aren't (to me) examples that are considered P.C. "people put down muslims all the time, they're all violent, christian killing zealots you know." 1) I don't think it's P.C. (I do it, but I don't think most others consider it P.C.) 2) If people do it, then, they usually do it because their Prophet encouraged beating women, or encouraged killing non-believers (like wanting to kick the Jews into the Sea.) "mitt romney was dismissed as being a viable candidate because he's a mormon-of course, that's not a 'real' religion." 1) Again, I don't think this type of statement is considered P.C. by most others. 2) I think they are more apt to be disliked for trying to mess with the Politics in states they aren't living in (anti-Gay Marriage Amendment etc.,) or for laws like the ones they have about alcohol purchases. Maybe in the South, a lot of people think it's a cult religion. |
