While some of Somer's statements may have been excessive - I agree with her about Religion and Politics. The two should have absolutely nothing to do with each other and it is def. the #1 thing I have against Republicans.
Somehow Christians (not all but we all know what I'm talking about), especially the ones involved in politics, seem to feel that they are better than everyone and have higher moral standards than the rest of the country when they need to take a step back and realize that they are as messed up - or more so - than everyone else. I mean really, who is anyone to tell anyone how to live there life if it is not affecting anyone else. I'll leave the abortion argument out of this because that does affect someone.
