One thing caught my eye. The part where he says that he figures that the 90-day suspension cost him close to $200,000.

Is that right? Was he expecting to win some big race that went on in his absence? Was he figuring in the big boost he no doubt gets when Dominguez leaves Delaware for the Spa? Was he including the cost of lawyers and PR agents resulting from the incident? Or is he saying that he expected to make $800,000 this year? If it's the latter, holy moley.
According to the article, Rose's mounts this year made $4.1 million, so his 10% would be $400K. That's for half a year, so 90 days (a quarter of a year) would be $200K on average. Whether or not he would have earned that is another question.

What stands out to me is that he still hasn't got a clue, and neither does his agent. Both of them seem to be saying that, if this had happened in the past or at a smaller track, it would have been no big deal. Sorry, it's still a big deal to me (and I think PETA is a bunch of nut-cases, so I don't think I have a pre-conceived bias regarding his actions).
