there are 64 bowl slots, with 5 and 6 record teams either on the bubble, or bowl eligible. this system is a ridiculous joke. too many bowl games out there.

they need to re do the system, with top teams playing other top teams all year. to hell with this playing four or five tougher teams, and padding the win stats ( unless you're 'bama vs la-monroe!! ) with games vs much lesser opponents....thus assuring a bowl bid.

btw, when did 'FBS' replace 1-a? and now 2-a is 1-a....i guess i slept thru that change...
