The horse has enough speed to win at 6f and enough stamina to carry that speed over a good route of ground. Throw in the turf possibilites and I think he may turn out to be a stud (pun very much intended). He also seems as sound as they come these days. I very much agree with you, i think Hard Spun will be a hot prosect as a sire. If he doesn't get a very good book of mares next year i will be very surprised, especially at that price. I expected a little more actually. I thought maybe 60 or 70k.

EDIT: include into that how strong the British pound is compared to the dollar, and the british breeders will be 'getting to him' for less than £25k
