As I said on 'At the Races' yesterday when I reached out for Steve Haskin, (who wrote the Thoroughbred Legends series John Henry book), those that had a real connection to the immortal gelding would be best putting him in historical context. Jon White also spent 15 minutes recounting his experiences with "John". Both did the subject better justice than I could... Obviously I've been remiss on columns since before Saratoga began... I've sat down several times to get a new piece together and have been thwarted by one thing or another.
