On another note, is Gomez now the #1 for Pletcher? I noticed Johnny wasn't riding Todd's horses in the big races at Churchill this past weekend.

I was asking myself that question too last weekend. I thought maybe Pletcher had some sort of agreement to ride GG until the expected return date of JV but then JV came back early so maybe TP is just honoring a commitment? Any one know the answer?[/quote]

Guys Johnny is number one. Johnny wanted to ride Spun Sugar in the rich grade one race so he stayed at Belmont that day. he can't be two places at once. If Todd had a horse in the Foster he may have gone down but he didnt. Bej rode OOnagh and Gomez went down to ride a few.
