![]() If Sunday Silence didn’t exist? I think that by most accounts of racing historians, the top five of all-time, in no order, seem to come out as Secretariat, Spectacular Bid, Forego, Citation, and either Native Diver or Galloping Grocer. Man o’ War is always included also. I just wonder what the perception would be of Easy Goer if there had not been a Sunday Silence around? He would have won the Triple Crown, preceded by the Wood, then won the Travers, Whitney, Woodward, JCGC, and BC Classic. This would have included the second fastest Belmont in history and the fastest mile ever by a 3yo. All of this on top of being the champion 2yo. I believe it would be almost impossible for him to rank lower than top five.
