To go a step further on Jim's thinking, there is really no reason to play $5 pick 5's That just seems to be a gross misuse of your bank roll.

You're not using the 3/5 ML favorite in the first race. If you beat her, you gotta think the payouts are going to pay well on a .50 ticket. On the other hand, you're playing a $5 pick 5 and not covering what is going to be an odds on single on a lot of other tickets.

I just feel like since it seems like you have this deep bankroll, you're better off playing a smaller base and covering more of those potential bombs that many of us can't afford to cover on our tickets, instead of playing a power ticket like that. You have the pockets to hit that monster (like Jim did) and getting out of your hole in one swoop.

You had success the other day with doubles & pick 3's, why not stay with that and if you want throw in a .50 or a $1 pick 5 to be involved?
