I am not so proud to admit I actually saw Bubbles Hawkins play. From memory, shortly after the Nets joined the NBA (and sold Julius Erving to Philly), they were AWFUL, but he was there top player for one season. Was waived mid-way through the next, never to be heard from again. I am fairly certain he has passed away.
